General Information

Since 1993, the "Sakarya University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Office," operating as a research fund, was established in 2002 and began its activities by the decision of Sakarya University Senate, in accordance with Article 58 of Law No. 2547 on Higher Education, amended by Law No. 4684, and the "Regulation on Scientific Research Projects of Higher Education Institutions" published in the Official Gazette No. 24722 on 10.04.2002.

In the coordination unit, generally project processes, expenditure processes, administrative affairs, and year-end tasks are managed. Since May 25, 2018, project processes have been conducted through an automation system, and expense transactions have been handled through the Integrated Public Financial Management Information System (MYS) starting from January 2018. With these arrangements, transactions have been ensured to be carried out more quickly and efficiently.

According to the regulations of relevant institutions, expense processes for TÜBİTAK and EU projects are managed. Scientific Research Projects, BOREN, MARKA, AFAD, Ministry of Youth and Sports, etc., and expenses for projects under Presidency of Strategy and Budget of the Presidency of Türkiye are conducted within the framework of Sakarya University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Office (SAÜ BAPK) principles and procedures.

Our coordination office continues to work diligently to ensure the optimal utilization of current resources and to enhance project-making capacity.
